Rhodes
Rhodes

A private transfer awaits you at Rhodes airport to take you to your hotel in the center of the island’s namesake capital.
Discover a historical marvel: Rhodes Old Town, the best-preserved medieval city in the world. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988.
After this first contact with Rhodes, devote the rest of the day to strolling and shopping. Through the sunny streets of this half-Eastern, half-Western city, you’ll easily find some very interesting little stores, especially around Hippokratous Square. Let yourself be seduced by Rhodes’ quiet, picturesque alleyways.

Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Overnight in the historic city center.

Day 2

A cultural day on foot

"Medieval Rhodes"
"Medieval Rhodes"

It’s time to discover the old town of Rhodes in its entirety. You’ll see it as the Knights Hospitallers of the Order of St. John knew it when they ruled the island between 1309 and 1523. Visit the Grand Master’s Palace, where the head of the Order lived. Stroll along the Rue des Chevaliers, whose inns housed members of all nationalities.
This extraordinary street has been restored exactly as it was in the 15th century. A little further on, enter the Hora, reserved for the common people.
You can choose to take advantage of the “Medieval Rhodes” option. With a private guide and a 3-hour guided tour, you won’t miss a thing of this splendor.

Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Overnight in the historic city center.

Day 3

A culinary stopover

Rhodes culinary culture
Rhodes culinary culture

Rhodes’ culinary art, with its mix of tradition and diverse influences, is exceptionally rich and varied. Particularly in the medieval town, you’ll easily find organized gastronomic tours, including tastings of local specialties and wine.
The island’s climate is extremely favorable to vine-growing. This has been a Rhodian tradition since antiquity. It continues in the island’s many modern wineries. The wines are generally sweet and fruity. A visit to a winery lasts between 2 and 3 hours, depending on your choice.
If you haven’t tasted its honey, you’ve never been to Rhodes! This honey is best enjoyed on bread, in culinary preparations or spread on tarts, both sweet and savory. Allow around 2 hours for a visit to the Melissokomiki Dodecanisou Museum and the Bee Museum.
There are countless typical Rhodian dishes, and it’s very difficult to single one out. A must-try, however, is lakani, a goat-meat dish named after the ancient ceramic pot (lakani) in which it is cooked. It’s usually accompanied by chondros (coarsely ground wheat). And don’t miss the pitaroudia, tomato-based pies or balls fried with onions.
If you need the address of a very good typical restaurant, don’t hesitate to ask our team! We’ll be delighted to recommend the right restaurant to suit your tastes and expectations!

Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Overnight in the historic city center.

Day 4

Spend the rest of the day relaxing and cooling off on Lindos beach.

Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Overnight in Lindos.

Day 5

For water sports lovers, think of Prasonisi beach

Prasonisi beach
Prasonisi beach

Prasonisi beach, 55 minutes from Lindos, is well known to all water sports enthusiasts.
Are you an experienced windsurfer or kitesurfer? Or are you a complete novice? Prasonisi beach, located in the south-east of the island and protected by Natura 2000, is ideal for all levels of practice. It consists of a strip of sand that appears or disappears according to the season, intermittently isolating the Prasonisi peninsula. In winter, the waves break over the sand strip. The rest of the year, you can stroll to the abandoned lighthouse and, above all, take advantage of the waves and wind to practice your favorite sport in complete freedom!

Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Overnight in Lindos.

Day 6

A lazy day on Saint Paul Bay

Saint-Paul bay
Saint-Paul bay

In 57 A.D., Saint Paul is said to have landed in this bay, from which he took his name. Follow in his footsteps to discover one of the island’s most picturesque panoramas. A small cove welcomes you. As a backdrop to the landscape, the Lindos acropolis peers out from its white eye, while a small chapel watches over your well-being.
The Bay of Saint Paul is a paradise for diving enthusiasts… or those wishing to try their hand at it. Have fun exploring its many caves and caverns!
Head back to Lindos for an afternoon of shopping and strolling. Lose yourself in this maze of streets designed to discourage pirates. Admire the mansions of the Greek captains, the monumentality of their wooden doors and their decorations. Delve into the small boutiques to find gifts that are truly typical of the island. Have a snack, a drink or a delicious ice cream on one of the rooftop terraces, where you’ll enjoy an extraordinary view of Lindos village and St. Paul’s Bay!

Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Overnight in Lindos.

Day 7

Excursion by car

Afandou beach
Afandou beach

Drive along the east coast of the island towards Kalithea and Faliraki, 35 km from Limnos (approx. 40 minutes).
On your way, the Traganou Caves, Anthony Quinn Bay and Afandou Beach form an essential trio for any stay on Rhodes. Stop off at these 3 exceptional sites for a spot of diving in the caves or a swim amidst the magnificent scenery.
Finally, you arrive at Kalithea, whose springs were renowned throughout Europe. In the 5th century, Hippocrates is said to have recommended them to his patients for their curative virtues. They were particularly popular with Greeks suffering from recurrent stomach ailments.
Today, the site has evolved. The springs have dried up, but the area has retained its crystal-clear sea and the magical power of its landscape. The arcades and pavilions have been restored to their former glory. Stroll through the gardens, touch and smell the herbs and spices planted for you. The village is also full of cafés and excellent restaurants.

Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Overnight in Lindos.
