Paros is a guarantee to have an authentic experience

Even today, a visit to Paros is a guarantee to have an authentic experience. This island is the third biggest in the Cyclades and has managed to hold onto a traditional way of life, and its economy is not entirely reliant on tourism. Fishing and farming still play a significant role.

This itinerary goes through the following steps

Day 1

France - Athens

The Erechtheion Athens
The Erechtheion Athens

A private transfer awaits you at Athens airport to take you to your hotel in the heart of the Greek capital.
This day gives you the opportunity to discover the two facets of the city: ancient Athens and contemporary Athens. The Parthenon, dedicated to the goddess Athena, protector of the city, the Erechtheion, the Temple of Athena Nike and many other monuments: in ancient Athens, everything is awe-inspiring.
For your afternoon free time, several contemporary neighborhoods invite you to stroll around. The beautiful residential district of Koukaki abounds with terraces and restaurants. The Psyrí district is younger and more dynamic. It’s of particular interest to street art enthusiasts.
The Petralona district, meanwhile, succeeds in combining the old with the trendy.

Overnight in Athens.

Day 2

Athens - Paros

Naoussa - Paros
Naoussa - Paros

Today you have a rendezvous with the island of Paros. Depart early in the morning for a transfer from your hotel to the port. From there, you take the boat for a 25-minute cruise to Paros. Another private transfer takes you to your hotel.
In Paros, get to know the island’s countless beaches, each more extraordinary than the last. The beaches of Santa Maria and Chrissi Atki are among the most famous on the island. They are perfectly landscaped. Petri, Faneromeni and Lageri are quieter.
The port of Naoussa is waiting for you at the end of the day for a sunset stroll. With its Venetian castle, picturesque alleyways and numerous tavernas and restaurants, this traditional fishing village surrounded by sublime beaches is the ideal place to end the day.

Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Overnight in Paros.

Day 3

Hidden treasures of Paros and explore traditional villages

Prodromos - Paros
Prodromos - Paros

The island of Paros conceals many hidden and secret treasures. Become an explorer and get off the beaten track!
Aï-Yiannis Detis is an 80-hectare park brimming with sublime and mysterious geological formations. Sheltered by a cove, you can swim and relax in this magical spot, watched over by the white shadow of the monastery.
The village of Lefkès lies on a hillside surrounded by pine forests and windmills. The island’s most mountainous village, built of marble and whitewashed walls, Lefkès is astonishingly white and bright. Picturesque alleyways, old wash-houses, little stores: take a stroll and let yourself be taken away from it all. If possible, don’t miss the Karavola festival, celebrating the end of summer in August. Enjoy snails, traditional cheeses, chickpeas and wine!
Inland, two villages are a must: Marpissa and Prodromos. Centered around its Byzantine church, Maprissa seems to have remained frozen in the 17th century. Four typical mills surround the village square. From here, you can walk to the monastery. The panorama of the Aegean Sea from the top of the monastery is breathtaking. Prodromos also exudes Cycladic authenticity. The village entrance is surmounted by a vaulted arch bearing a belfry. Close-knit houses, tiny alleyways, the churches of Saint-Nicolas and Sant-Spyridon: you’re in for a real treat!

Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Overnight in Paros.

Day 4

Discover Antiparos and its famous cave, and why not take a trip to the island of Despotiko?

Antiparos
Antiparos

Antiparos is a tiny island separated from Paros by a 500-metre cha nnel. Although much less crowded than its bigger sister, it offers visitors enchanting scenery.
Its famous grotto is one of the most beautiful and majestic in the world. Climb to the top of the Ai-Yannis hill to take in the superb panorama. Then descend the 411 steps to the cave entrance, where nature reveals herself to be a true artist!
A magnificent natural phenomenon, the Antiparos cave is also steeped in ancient history, with the first traces of human occupation dating back to the Stone Age. Some of the graffiti decorating the cave date back to several centuries BC.
Off Antiparos lies the small uninhabited island of Despotiko. If you’re feeling adventurous, spend a few hours here in absolute tranquillity. Explore its rocky, lunar landscape or bask on the beach. And, if you’re lucky, you might even spot a few seals!

Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Overnight in Paros.

Day 5

Visit Naoussa and the "Kolimbithrès" sea sculptures.

Kolymbithres beach
Kolymbithres beach

It’s time to explore the fishing village of Naoussa. Authentic and welcoming, Naoussa’s bewitching atmosphere conquers all visitors. The blue shutters of the whitewashed houses add brightness and cheerfulness. Stroll along the cobbled streets, past elegant boutiques, bougainvillea-lined courtyards and small churches.
The day ends on Kolymbithres beach, a must for all travelers. It is, not without reason, the island’s most famous beach! Kolymbithres is a kind of paradisiacal museum housing works of art created by nature itself. First of all, the scenery is splendid: three fine sandy beaches, nestled in the hollows of granite rocks and indented with rocks and coves. Lie back on the beach and contemplate the masterpiece: the famous rock formations on the beach, sculpted by the sea and the wind.
Finally, water sports enthusiasts can hire equipment to get as close as possible to the steep coves.

Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Overnight in Paros.

Day 6

A relaxing day at the beach or an introduction to kite-surfing.

Lageri beach
Lageri beach

Take the road to Santa Maria beach and enjoy the many facilities for beach-goers. The white sand plunging into the emerald waters of the sea is a fascinating and relaxing sight. You can also take advantage of the beach’s sports facilities to try your hand at diving, kitesurfing or windsurfing. The bars are also very lively. Santa Maria is the ideal beach if you want to combine relaxation, sport and partying!
If you’re looking for more privacy, the smaller Mikri Santa Maria beach adjoins its big sister.
A little further away, Lageri beach is quite quiet. It’s not uncommon to come across naturists here. Arm yourself with your beach umbrella: there are no beach facilities here.
Do you like crowds and are you a fan of windsurfing or funboarding? Chrissi Akti (or Golden Beach) is for you. Since the 1990s, it has hosted the world windsurfing championships. Respectful of the environment, the beach has been awarded the Blue Flag label.

Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Overnight in Paros.

Day 7

Departure for Athens, & final shopping.

National Garden
National Garden

Return to Athens with a private transfer from your hotel to the port of Paros, then a crossing to the port of Piraeus, and a final private transfer to your hotel.
On this last day, the program is free. Stroll the ancient streets of the Acropolis and visit its museum. The Acropolis Museum, inaugurated in 2009, will delight all history lovers, from beginners to connoisseurs. Its museography really puts you in osmosis with the objects on display, all of which come from the Acropolis.
Already missing nature? Then head to the National Garden for a stroll. This park is an oasis of greenery amidst the ancient stones.
Finally, don’t forget to bring back souvenirs and gifts. Ermou Street is home to many attractive little boutiques. It also leads to the Monastiraki flea market. If you’re looking for something more luxurious, head for Voukourestiou Street, in the Kolonaki district.

Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Overnight in Athens.
