Day 1

Athens - Nafplio

Welcome to Greece! At Athens airport, where your plane lands, you pick up your rental car from our partner. You’re off in less than 2 hours to the magnificent city of Nafplio, 137 km away.
Nafplio is one of the most popular cities in the Peloponnese. Stroll through its colorful old town. Its narrow streets and Venetian houses give you an incredible feeling of disorientation. Around the corner, you’ll find the Church of the Franks, the beautiful Vouleftiko Mosque and the Agiou and Panagia churches.

A 20-minute drive from Nafplio, in the village of Malandréni, the Skouras winery awaits you for a tasting of local wines. In the heart of the Argolid, you’ll enter a region where vines have been cultivated for thousands of years! The Nemea Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC), which characterizes all wines from this area, is the largest and one of the most exciting in Greece!
Return to Nafplio in the early afternoon for a leisurely stroll through its picturesque streets.

Day 3

Honey & ouzo day!

Today you’ll learn all about Greek ouzo and honey thanks to a 3-hour tour in the company of enthusiasts!
The tour starts with a visit to a local distillery. A specialist will tell you all about the history and production of two typical spirits: ouzo and tsipouro. He’ll teach you to appreciate all their flavors by tasting traditional products.
Then visit an artisanal honey factory. Learn from a passionate beekeeper how to care for the hive and harvest the honey. Don’t hesitate to don a beekeeper’s uniform for an up-close look at the fascinating world of bees. Finally, taste some of the world’s most unique honeys!
Once the tour is over, you can devote your afternoon to discovering an exceptional archaeological site: the famous Epidaurus Theatre. Built in the 4th century BC, it is one of the best preserved classical theaters in Greece.
Finally, enjoy a refreshing swim at the beach of Palaia Epidavros!

Day 4

Discovery of Monembasía

It’s time to leave the Argolid and head for the southern Peloponnese. The 229 km to Monembasía (also known as Monovásia) is a three hour drive.

Monembasía is a town of impressive monumentality. A peninsula clinging to the foot of a fortified rock, it has earned the nickname of the Gibraltar of the East or the Mont-Saint-Michel of Greece. It’s impossible to get enough of this extraordinary jewel. Climb up to the Byzantine citadel and enjoy a magnificent view of the Aegean Sea!

Day 5

Local cooking classes at Liotrivi estate

Get cooking! Today you’ll work in a friendly atmosphere at the Liotivri estate. Here, in the midst of the olive groves, you’ll create your own olive oil specialties. The cooking class ends with a delicious meal.
In the afternoon you will return to Olympia by car (approx. 3 hours drive). The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 6

Wine tasting and discovery of the birthplace of the Olympic Games

The day begins with new culinary discoveries as you taste wines from the Olympia region.
The day continues with a visit to the archaeological site of Olympia. The Archaeological Museum is one of the most important in Greece and gives you an insight into this extraordinary site. Here you can admire exceptional masterpieces such as the famous statue of Hermes, sculpted by Praxiteles.
At the archaeological site, follow in the footsteps of ancient Greek athletes. The remains of the Temples of Zeus and Hera, the Altar of the Olympic Flame and, of course, the stadium, are must-sees on the World Heritage List. Don’t hesitate to put on your 3D glasses for a total immersion in antiquity!

You leave for Athens, which you reach after a 3h30 drive. Get to know this city of extraordinary heritage and little-known modernity.
Begin your visit at the Acropolis of Pericles and Socrates. Visit the Parthenon, the most famous monument on the sacred hill, then stroll the cobblestone streets of the Acropolis to see the Erechtheion, the Temple of Athena and all the other architectural masterpieces of ancient Athens.
In the afternoon, take time to explore modern Athens through its trendy neighborhoods. Stroll through the streets of Psyrí, Koukaki or Pétralona and feel the pulse of a young and dynamic Greece.

Departure for Naxos

Your driver will drop you off at Athens’ historic port of Piraeus, where a ferry will be waiting to take you to Naxos. You arrive in the late morning, at the end of your Aegean crossing. This is the perfect time to enjoy your first meal in the shade of the white walls of Chóra.
Take a stroll through Chóra’s charming, picturesque alleyways. Stop in the tavernas and stores to discover the legendary culinary specialties of the island of Naxos.
Finally, enjoy a rejuvenating swim on the beach adjacent to the town.

Departure for Piraeus

After dropping off your car at our partner car rental, your private transfer will take you to the port of Chorá. There you will board the ferry to Piraeus.
The afternoon in Athens is at your leisure. Be tempted by the Acropolis Museum, considered one of the finest museums in the world. Its collections are drawn from excavations on the sacred Athenian hill and are packed with works of art and artifacts that provide a better understanding of the site.
Alternatively, take a stroll around the Greek capital in search of the street art that the Psyrí neighborhood specializes in.

Before you head home, don’t forget to pick up some souvenirs for yourself or your loved ones.
Visit Ermou Street, one of the main shopping streets in Athens. At the end of this street, at the foot of the Acropolis, is the Monastiraki flea market, full of little treasures.
If you prefer high-end products, stroll through the Kolonaki district and Voukourestiou Street, home to many luxury boutiques.
Finally, take advantage of a transfer to the airport under the watchful eye of the goddess Athena!
