A typical holiday on the Greek islands in the Aegean Sea

This 9-day stay in the north of the Cyclades combines 3 nights in Paros and 3 nights in Mykonos. The two islands are very close to each other but offer you two contrasting views. Visit Mykonos for its myths and legends, nightlife and lazing on the beach. Visit Paros for its authenticity and a chance to immerse yourself in the daily life of this more traditional island. But both of them, of course, offer sun, sea and sand.

This itinerary goes through the following steps

Day 1

Athens

Athens
Athens

On arrival at Athens airport, a private transfer awaits you to take you to your hotel in the heart of the Greek capital.
Set off to discover the world-famous Acropolis. Start with the Parthenon, dedicated to the city’s patron goddess, Athena. Follow in Aristotle’s footsteps and contemplate the masterpieces of Greek architecture that are the Erechtheion, the Temple of Athena Nike and all the extraordinary buildings that make up the monumental complex of the Acropolis.
With the afternoon free, you can spend it discovering another, lesser-known facet of Athens: its modern, trendy neighborhoods. Treat yourself to an afternoon of street art in the Psyrí district, or wander through the young and dynamic neighborhoods of Koukaki and Petralona.

Overnight in Athens.

Day 2

Athens - Piraeus - Paros island

Paros beach
Paros beach

On this second day, an early-morning private transfer takes you to the port of Piraeus, where you board a ferry bound for Paros. In Paros, another private transfer takes you to your hotel.
Choose which of Paros’ countless beaches best suits your tastes. Large or small, secret or famous, all these beaches (Chryssi Akti, Santa Maria, Kolimbithrès, Kaloyeros and others) have an extraordinary charm.
Take advantage of the setting sun to stroll around the port of Naoussa, home to several tavernas watched over by the Venetian fortress.

Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Overnight in Paros.

Day 3

Discover Antiparos and its famous cave, and then head off to the island of Despotiko.

Antiparos
Antiparos

Antiparos, Paros’ little sister, is only separated by a narrow channel 500 meters long. A 10-minute crossing allows you to disembark on this small island, which owes its fame to the beauty of its scenery, but above all to its enchanting grotto.
The Antiparos cave has been known to man since the Stone Age, as evidenced by the numerous engravings on its walls. Start by climbing the Ai-Yannis hill. It offers a superb viewpoint. From here, descend the 411-step stone staircase to the cave entrance. Enter the cave and enjoy the wonders. Here, nature has sculpted one of her most extraordinary masterpieces.
Off Antiparos, you can see the small uninhabited island of Despotiko. If you feel like exploring, cross the arm of the sea that separates it and enjoy its deserted beaches, populated only by Mediterranean monk seals.

Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Overnight in Paros.

Day 4

Visit Naoussa and Paros beaches

Naoussa
Naoussa

Immaculate white houses, blue shutters: in Naoussa, you’re in the Cyclades. A small fishing village and the island’s second-largest population center, Naoussa is a village with atmosphere. Visit its little churches, stroll along its flower-filled cobbled streets and enter its elegant boutiques. In short, take a leisurely stroll in a complete change of scenery.
Just a short drive away, you’ll find the beach of Santa Maria, one of the most famous and beautiful on Paros. Its sand is fine and soft. Its deep emerald-blue waters are spellbinding. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the beach. There are also several bars. If you’d like to relax in complete privacy, opt for the adjacent Mikri Santa Maria beach, which is smaller and less crowded.

Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Overnight in Paros.

Day 5

Paros island - Mykonos island

Windmills - Mykonos
Windmills - Mykonos

You leave early this morning for the port by private transfer. You then board a ferry or hydrofoil to Mykonos. Here, another private transfer awaits you to your hotel in Chora, not far from the beaches.
The town of Chora in Mykonos is one of the most beautiful jewels in the Cyclades. Sunbeams reflecting off white walls, bluish patches on shutters, centuries-old churches, chapels, captains’ houses, windmills, bougainvillea clusters – it’s like something out of a fairy tale. In the late evening, take a seat on the terrace of one of the city’s countless bistros and order a cocktail or a good coffee. Then sit back and watch the sunset over the Aegean Sea.

Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Overnight in Mykonos.

Day 6

Discovering Delos

Delos
Delos

Not far from Mykonos, the mythical island of Delos is a most unexpected excursion, but a must for all mythology enthusiasts. The story goes that Leto, pregnant by Zeus and pursued by Hera’s vindictiveness, sought refuge on Delos. There, she gave birth to two twins: Apollo and Artemis.
Visit the archaeological site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Not everything in Delos is Greek: the site’s religious and economic importance made it a hub of the Mediterranean until the 1st century AD. So you’ll find both Roman and Oriental influences.
Perhaps the best place to start is with a visit to the archaeological museum. It provides all the information you need to understand the site. Then wander through the remains of the temples of Apollo, Dionysus and Isis. Stroll through the Lion Quarter or the Theater Quarter. Discover the remains of one of the oldest synagogues in the world.
Finally, climb to the top of Kynthos Hill to admire the Aegean Sea and surrounding islands.

Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Overnight in Mykonos.

Day 7

Make the most of Mykonos's legendary beaches.

Super Paradise beach
Super Paradise beach

Nature seems to have chosen Mykonos to create some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The splendor of the landscape, the crystal-clear waters, everything you need for unforgettable moments of relaxation.
Do you like to party? Opt for the beaches of Psarou, Paradise and especially Super Paradise. The latter is a legend among beach-goers the world over. Spend a morning of absolute relaxation here. Then get caught up in the festive atmosphere, the music and the dancing, but beware: you might not get to sleep all night.
If you prefer spectacular scenery and a family atmosphere, head for the beaches of Panormos, Elia, Agios Ioannis, Megali Ammos or Agios Sostis. Quieter, well-equipped and with traditional tavernas, they offer a relaxing spot surrounded by stunning nature.

Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Overnight in Mykonos.

Day 8

Departure for Athens, visit of the Acropolis Museum & shopping

Athens
Athens

You return to Athens first with a private transfer from your hotel to the port of Mykonos, then a ferry or hydrofoil crossing to Piraeus and finally a private transfer back to your hotel.
This day is completely free. You can visit the Acropolis Museum, inaugurated in 2009 and worthy of the ancient site. One of the finest in the world, the museum’s collection is made up of objects from the Acropolis, from prehistoric times to the end of Antiquity. It’s truly the best place to understand the sacred hill of the Athenians.
Or opt for a stroll through the streets of Athens, discovering the local gastronomy or Athenian street art. Alternatively, stroll the streets of this thousand-faceted city: every street corner is a treasure to be discovered.

Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Overnight in Athens.

Day 9

Back to France

Monastiraki market
Monastiraki market

Your trip is coming to an end. Before taking the private transfer to the airport, don’t forget to buy a few souvenirs. Stroll down Ermou Street and visit its many stores. At the end of this street, explore the bustling Monastiraki flea market.
If you’re looking for high-end products, head for the Kolonaki district and its Voukourestiou Street for luxury brands and jewelry.
Finally, take one last look at the splendor of this thousand-year-old city and see you soon!
