voyage Chania

Chania (also spelt Hania) is a city that lies on the north-western coast of western Crete. It is also the second largest city on the island, with over 50,000 inhabitants. Long occupied by the Venetians and then the Turks, both influences are reflected in the city’s architecture and layout. It is considered one of Crete’s most beautiful cities. Be sure not to miss the Venetian harbour with its 15th-century lighthouse and the old town which has been carefully brought back to its former glory. As a added bonus, Chania also houses some enthralling museums.
